After his handler is killed, police dog Rex teams up with recently-divorced inspector Richard Moser to investigate crimes and solve mysteries on the streets of Vienna. And they sometimes get help from their two-legged friend, Inspector Stockinger.

During a rooftop bomb explosion, Rex's trainer is killed by suspect. Rex refuses to eat or drink. Inspector Richard Moser feels sorry for him, and so begins their partnership when Rex uncovers a crucial clue in the investigation.

When Hans Felsner, owner of a restaurant, has a heart attack, it is soon discovered that it was actually a murder.

When a corpse is found inside a rubbish bin, Inspector Moser is called to investigate and runs into an organ trafficking network that has taken many lives. His life is in danger too.

Moser and his team investigate the kidnapping of three old ladies and everyone seems to know more than them.

A prisoner makes a violent escape during a visit to the dentist. His accomplice is wounded and left behind. Fleeing from the police, the escaped prisoner holds a ballerina class hostage and demands the release of his friend. It's up to Richard and Rex to diffuse the situation and save the day!

A body is discovered in the park surrounding Schönbrunn Palace - a young lady wearing only a fur coat and lingerie on a frigid Vienna day. As they investigate, Stocki questions a witness who indicates the groundskeeper. But despite his criminal record, Richard remains unconvinced and enlists Rex's help to investigate a local gynecologist with ties to the dead woman.

Richard goes undercover to find out why patients at an institution are being murdered. He entrusts Rex to Stockinger's care; but he escapes.

A homeless man is brutally murdered on New Year's Eve. The next day, Stockinger's team is assigned to a woman's suspicious suicide.

A man recovering from a car accident in a hospital discovers that perhaps he is infected with HIV virus and decides to kill the people he assumed to be responsible. Richard and Rex have to stop a person who has nothing to lose.

A young girl is found dead in the city outskirts.The girl was a talented pianist and all suspicions fall to her tutor,with whom she used to spend a lot of time.Inspector Richie Moser has to stop the melody of death.

A bomb explodes in a toy store window, the third in a string of Gurmann teddy bear bombings. With Rex taking care of a bedridden Richard, Stocki investigates a long list of disgruntled employees. The investigation takes a turn when Richard is visited by the heiress of the Gurmann toy company.

When a stonemason is found dead in a cemetery, Inspector Moser is called to investigate the murder. A possible motive is the theft of Beethoven's skull the previous night. Inspector Moser and Rex have to trace down a killer and a thief.

A bag with human intestines is found in the sewers.A corpse with no clues for his identity and a very difficult case are waiting for inspector Moser and Rex,who went from the shower to the sewer.

A businessman is murdered outside his night club.Moser arrests a suspect shortly after the assassination and his team tries to interrogate him with no results. The man is part of a hired assassins network and gets to have Rex kidnapped. Richard Moser has to find Rex and keep the suspect from getting away.

The little Ines Kunz disappears from an amusement park. Three days later she is found dead on the Danube bank. Several girls do disappear from the same park and again are found few days later, this time incapacitated, abused and shocked.

After an emergency (late) brake, a train conductor thinks he has killed someone on the rails, forensic scientist Dr. Graf, however, does not believe in suicide, and thinks that the man was killed an hour before being put on the rails.


A German tourist photographs young men in downtown Vienna. One of them he invites in the evening in his hotel room. The next morning, the tourist is found dead - the photos are the only trace.

In a beauty salon in the center of Vienna, a customer suffocates during a facial treatment. The coroner finds that the client was murdered.

A man is shot dead in a hotel room, and the telephone operator Brigitte Heinrich is a witness to the murder. Sophisticated assassinations are committed on the blind witness.

Ernst Fuchs and Fritz Groh attack a money transfer. In the exchange of fire Fritz and a monetary transport driver are killed - Ernst flees with the money.

In the middle of winter, little Sabine is found dead in an outdoor pool. It quickly becomes clear that this is murder. Moser sets the culprit a trap.


A young, pretty woman is strangled in the bathroom. The smell on the belt of the bathrobe Rex reacts sensitively. But apart from the perfume, the culprit has left no traces.

A wealthy businessman gets kidnapped while doing his daily driving. A man who witnessed the kidnapping is found dead, taking the secret with him into the grave. Inspector Moser and Rex have a mystery to solve again.

Dr. Hausner, professor of veterinary medicine, collapses dead on the street: heart attack. What at first looks like a natural death is murder. Dr. Hausner's wife and his lover Uschi Reichert were near the crime scene - both have no alibi.

When the owner of two grocery stores is shot, Moser determines undercover as a laborer on the vegetable market.

A car crashes over a slope, the driver burns beyond recognition. A fire expert alarms Commissioner Moser and his team: There are inconsistencies in the accident.
