Graham's Gang is a British children's comedy first broadcast by the BBC in 1977 and 1979. The gang consisted of five boys - Graham, William, Lux, Robert and Keith - and one girl, Mildred. Plots often revolved around the boys trying to exclude Mildred, who would often use her influential family to force herself back into the gang. Graham's leadership of the gang was constantly threatened by William, whereas Robert and Keith were always on the verge of fighting. Lux provided comic relief because he was rather slow on the uptake.
1977
Graham and his gang want to play cricket in the park, but his neighbour Mildred is desperate to join in. With Keith in charge of looking after his baby brother's pram, things get complicated when jewellery thieves are involved in the mix.
The gang are going camping, and are adamant that Mildred won't be joining them, but Mildred's uncle arranges a tent for her and joins her at the site. To complicate things further, a passing gang want to terrorise Graham and co. for kicks.
William's had a terrible time at school, unwittingly yet repeatedly getting into trouble. He promises the headmaster his behaviour will be exemplary for a whole week, but while he's hopeful things will go well, the others aren't convinced.
Keith is taken hostage by two criminals who mistake him for another boy. Only Mildred is a witness to the act, but will anyone believe her, and will they be able to help free Keith if they do?
The gang clash as they decide who's going to represent the group in a go karting competition. But surely William isn't so annoyed with the rest of them that he'll team up with Mildred?
1979
Graham is given a cine camera as a birthday present from his dad, and decides to get the gang to act in a movie. Yet Lux will only take part if his new girlfriend Denise can be in it, and William has other plans for the film.
An invite to Mildred's birthday party should be a straightforward event for Graham and his friends. But when it involves a rival gang, a reformed jewel thief, a gorilla punk band and Mildred's bullying dad, things quickly turn to chaos.
Graham, angered by William playing an April Fool's joke on him, is determined to get his own back - but when a metal detector and William's watch get involved in the mix, everyone gets confused.
Romance is in the air as Graham and Robert find their attentions drawn to French foreign exchange students. But as Graham and Mildred take part in a televised treasure hunt, will Graham find his match a little closer to home?
