Dominic Rossi on holiday in Sorrento has fallen in love with beautiful Francesca Arcalli. He discovers a number of her friends have been murdered and decides he wants to help her and starts to investigate
Rossi is surprised and delighted by Francesca visiting, unaware that she is on the run from the Assassin. He's looking to become an Advocate but will have stop practicing. Eleanor Goodchild is looking for more status in the practice.
The Assassin has tracked down Francesca to Dominic Rossi's home in Glasgow. She confesses, to him, that she was part of a terrorist cell and is a loose end that needs to be terminated. Rossi is has to decide whether to help her escape.
