Just like all their opponents. More and more people are disappearing. In the castle, “national forces” take over. At home, Charlotte Gereons (Volker Bruch) discovers explosive legacy. There is still no trace of him. On the stage of the Mikado bar, Charlotte dances against her fears.

Charlotte (Liv Lisa Fries) is searching for Hitler's 1918 medical record. Goebbels stages the funeral of an SA man as a state act against “red murderers.” Goering (Devid Striesow) orders arrests en masse. The SA penetrates the police apparatus. While the political department is subverted by the Nazis, Böhm and Charlotte are secretly investigating further.

Return: Dr. Forster (Ulrich Noethen), Gereon (Volker Bruch) and his brother have stormed from the press ball. Gereon accompanies Dr. Forster on his escape to Paris. At the stopover in Cologne, you will experience a turbulent night in the carnival. In the morning, the two fly to Paris on the mediation of Gereon's father as Adenauer's entourage. On the airfield, the German ambassador waits with an arrest warrant and a familiar tune in the cafe of the exiles.

Resistance is only possible in a well-camouflaged manner. Ms. Behnke (Fritzi Haberlandt) is preparing for this role. Another ex-patient from Dr. Forster's hospital days are dead. Böhm (Godehard Giese) senses a series of murders, but is cold-called by Wendt.

At Lieberberg Castle, Nyssen (Lars Eidinger) is looking forward to the meeting with Hitler. Gereon (Volker Bruch) is released by Wendt (Benno Fürmann), but must continue to fear for his life. Under his eyes, the removal of those arrested from SA prison begins to be stored. Among them Heymann (Martin Wuttke) and Katelbach (Karl Markovics) who are preparing their escape. Your plan is failing. At home, Gereon is expecting a murder squad of the SA and the desperately angry Charlotte.

Böhm (Godehard Giese) fits Charlotte (Liv Lisa Fries) at the Wannsee to warn her: she and Gereon are not allowed to return to their apartment. Widow Behnke (Fritzi Haberlandt) also closes a door behind him.

Nyssen (Lars Eidinger) welcomes his guests from business and politics. On the Reichstag, the first flames ignite. A bomb detonates at the castle. Whoever makes a speech now is dedicated to death. Too late, Rath (Volker Bruch) recognizes the momentous error of the hour. In the Reichstag, he goes through the trauma of his life a second time. Anyone who escapes the flames will have to leave Germany tomorrow. The dark age begins. The dance is over.
