Evonne Goolagong's Wimbledon debut prompts memories of her rise from Barellan to tennis stardom, while she struggles with the controlling and traumatising behaviour of her coach Vic Edwards.
Evonne navigates controversy, pressure and the fight for equal pay, while personal loss and burnout drive her to walk away from tennis at her peak.
Grieving her father, Evonne rebuilds her life, fires Vic, marries Roger and overcomes injury to win Wimbledon as a mother in a historic victory.
