2022
This one-night only event boasts musical theatre royalty including Beverley Knight MBE, The Greatest Showman star Keala Settle, and Olivier Award winner Sam Tutty. Joining them to perform some of some of the biggest songs in musical theatre are the casts of Dreamgirls, Back to the Future, Dear Evan Hansen, Tina - The Tina Turner Musical, Bat Out of Hell, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s School of Rock, & Juliet and Waitress. For the first time, Disney shows The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast and Frozen unite on stage for an exclusive medley. Also performing are the casts of new hit musicals The Drifters Girl and Get Up, Stand Up! The Bob Marley Musical. Plus, a performance from The Wiz.

The full cast of Hamilton take to the stage in a television exclusive, Call the Midwife’s Helen George appears in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The King and I, and Michael Ball performs an iconic song from Aspects of Love. Also featured are show-stopping numbers from the casts of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Matilda, We Will Rock You, Disney’s Newsies, Six, Ain’t Too Proud, Shrek and Mamma Mia! Incredible performances from Les Misérables, The Bodyguard and Wicked complete the line-up. Jason also gives some young musical theatre fans the chance of a lifetime as they join him on stage for a very special performance. And there is a star-studded celebration of the career of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and a behind-the-scenes look at touring show Heathers: The Musical.

Daniel Mays takes to the stage with Guys & Dolls, Alfie Boe returns to Les Misérables for a special one-off performance, Beverley Knight performs with some of the next generation of musical theatre stars, and the cast of Broadway sensation Hadestown present a UK television exclusive ahead of its West End debut. Also featured are show-stopping numbers from Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Disney’s Aladdin, A Chorus Line, Grease The Musical, and Mrs Doubtfire. And incredible performances from The Wizard of Oz, Moulin Rouge! The Musical, The Phantom of the Opera and Hamilton complete the line-up.

Jason Manford hosts the annual showcase of musical theatre from the AO Arena in Manchester. Featuring a preview of forthcoming new West End productions of Miss Saigon and Jesus Christ Superstar, with Sam Ryder making his debut as Jesus. Featuring Alexandra Burke performing numbers from I'm Every Woman: The Chaka Khan Musical, hits from The Producers, Wicked, The Lion King, Oliver!, Sunny Afternoon and Paddington The Musical, and a performance from Annie featuring La Voix.

Jason Manford returns to host a spectacular celebration of musical theatre, with show-stopping performances and special guests, including Michael Ball, Marisha Wallace and Billy Porter. Filmed in front of an audience of 12,000 at Manchester’s AO Arena, ten of the UK’s best West End and touring productions perform much-loved songs and exciting previews. Daniel Mays joins Jason for a special musical number, Marisha Wallace takes to the stage to perform Maybe This Time from Cabaret, and Layton Williams stars in hilarious new comedy Titanique.
