Sergeant Preston of the Yukon is an American action adventure northwestern television series based on the radio drama Challenge of the Yukon. It was initially broadcast in color on CBS across three seasons from September 29, 1955 to September 25, 1958. Richard Simmons stars as Sergeant William Preston, who patrols the Yukon Territory in search of renegades and outlaws, during the time of the Klondike Gold Rush of the 1890s.

A young married couple arrives in the Yukon from the U.S. to take over the ghost town they've inherited.
Two greedy renegades bargain with a band of Yukon newcomers who struck it rich, but are out of food. The renegades offer them one pound of food for one pound of gold.
The partner of an Englishman is killed after the two make a rich find. With a reputation as a marksman, the Englishman is the prime suspect.

Sergeant Preston is injured and shares a cabin with a madman near Fishing Lake.
1957
Two hold-up men - one wounded - force their company on an old ex-convict friend who is now going straight. They threaten to reveal his past to his young daughter unless he helps them by getting medical aid.
The only witness to a prospector's death turns out to be his pet collie, whose behavior has become unpredictable, and is suspected of being to blame.
