A desirable bachelor returns to town and causes a stir among the young women. Davi is surprised to run into Maria Rosa. Gomes commits a gaffe.
Davi has lunch at Rosinha's house, makes an unusual request, and Rosinha becomes furious. The arrival of a poet in town causes a stir.
Creuza decides to give Mr. Luiz a chance, and Rosinha disapproves. Gomes disguises himself as a country boy and keeps a close watch on Creuza. Campos Lara allows Mr. Luiz to court Creuza at his home.
