Pioneering surgeons perform extraordinary operations on babies who are still inside the womb, saving lives before they are born.
2021
Professor Thilaganathan provides pioneering care to Ann-Marie's twins, who are at risk of dying, and Becky's unborn baby, who has a rare lung tumour, and closely monitors Randika's pregnancy.
Susie's triplets may have a life-threatening condition that urgently needs treatment. The surgeons also help a baby with fluid on the brain, and one with a foot tangled in the lining of the womb.
The surgeons attempt a procedure never done before in the UK to save Zoe's baby. And 22-year-old Latifah is carrying triplets while also facing motherhood and some tough decisions alone.
