December Bride is an American sitcom that aired on the CBS television network from 1954 to 1959, adapted from the original CBS radio network series that aired from June 1952 through September 1953.

Lily moves in with her daughter and son-in-law
A bored Lily looks for an exciting pastime
Lily asks her son-in-law, Matt, to testify in her behalf in an auto-accident case.



While shopping, Lily bumps her head on a low awning and gets involved with one of Pete Porter's schemes.

Lily invites a family whose trailer has broken down into the house, only to discover that one of their kids has the mumps.
Matt is persuaded to step in at the last minute when an actor cancels out of Lily's club play. His performance is such a success that Matt begins thinking of a theotrical career, much to Ruth's dismay.



Lily fights a jaywalking ticket, causing Matt to fear losing entrance to a country club.
Lily receives a visit from her plain Jane friend Florence and after hearing her lament about her spinster hood, Lily hatches a plan. She and Hilda think of the eligible men they know but have little luck matchmaking.
1956
Lily and Hilda welcome a movie star's agent who is looking over Matt's house for his client. The agent won't tell them which star he represents, but does tell them her initials - ""M. M.""
1958
Lily helps Edgar get his brother-in-law to propose to his girl.
Lily arranges for Pete to take riding lessons when his fear of horses jeopardizes his chance to earn a whopping commission by selling insurance to a wealthy horse rancher.
Lily presents son-in-law Matt with a set of power tools for his birthday, but then Ruth begins to feel neglected when Matt becomes absorbed in his new hobby.
In her column, Lily tells a young man not to follow in his father's footsteps. Unfortunately, the father is one of the newspaper's biggest advertisers.



Matt and Pete make a day of fishing with Matt coming home with a prize catch. He plans on having it mounted but unfortunately forgets to tell Lily who fixes it for dinner. Lily then tries to make it up to him.

1957
Matt buys Ruth a health chair, with a full vibrator. The two can't agree where the chair should be in the house. The chair has some interesting characteristics.
Lily decides to choose Fred MacMurray as her newspaper's honorary candidate for mayor.
