Ingegerd Råman – Framtid i varje andetag(2016)

Overview

Ingegerd Råman is one of Sweden’s most respected and beloved designers. For over 50 years, she has refined an aesthetic centered on achieving the greatest possible expression through the simplest possible means. Long before "less is more" became a buzzword, she was a one-woman force advocating for a design philosophy where function and beauty exist in perfect balance. Råman is best known for her glass and ceramic work, in which she has imbued everyday, utilitarian objects with her own unique proportions—driven by an ambition to elevate the mundane. This film offers an intimate look at her life over the course of an eventful year, revealing the process that lies behind the apparent simplicity of her designs.
