Excalibur, A Pursuit in Process(2026)

Overview

Brooke Raboutou takes on Excalibur (5.15c / 9b+) in Arco, Italy. This film documents the process, hardships, and relentless perseverance—both mental and physical—behind her pursuit of one of the hardest routes in the world. At just 18 moves, Excalibur is a brutally condensed testpiece of pure power endurance on razor-sharp holds. Brooke’s ascent not only marks a leap in her career – becoming the first woman to climb 5.15c / 9b+ – but also represents a meaningful step in closing the long-standing gap between men and women at the absolute cutting edge of sport climbing.
